What Is Yoga Skin? Here's How To Create This Dewy Look

In case you missed it, “yoga skin” is the the new no makeup-makeup trend of 2019. Sara Hill, a makeup artist based in the UK, created this look and watched the term go viral after posting a step-by-step tutorial on her Instagram. In her captions she describes yoga skin as “healthy, glowing, hydrated, radiant, sheer, and natural. Skin that looks like skin at its very best.” We loved the look so much that we had to recreate it! Maria of @bigapplebeauty broke down exactly how to recreate this look with Wander Beauty multitaskers:

Ready to create the look yourself? Here's the step-by-step!

Step 1: Prep skin with Glow Ahead Face Oil

Apply Glow Ahead Face Oil with your hands (TIP: rub the oil between hands to heat up for better absorption into skin!) onto your face and let it settle. The goal is to create a smooth, even surface for your makeup to glide on to give skin a natural, dewy finish. If you’re on the olier side, and still want to try this look, you’ll want to use Smooth Sailing Perfecting Primer to blur and mattify your base a bit. Apply with your hands and press into skin for a more natural finish.<product>1,2</product>

Step 2: Create the “Yoga Skin Potion”

Create the “yoga skin potion” with a mix of Nude Illusion Foundation, Glow Ahead Face Oil, and Glowtion. Start by depositing a bit of Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation into the palm, followed by a bit of Glowtion's liquid highlighter and 1-2 drops of Glow Ahead Face Oil. Mix the concoction together using your hands then apply directly to your face, starting in the center and working outwards. Smooth it all over your face with your hands. Add a second layer if you want extra coverage, or use Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation's doe foot to spot correct anywhere that's needed. Concentrate the second layer on areas that need a bit more coverage.

Step 3: Conceal and correct with Dualist Matte and Illuminating Concealer

Use the illuminating side of Dualist Matte and Illuminating Concealer to spot conceal, and the matte side to cover the under-eye area.<product>4</product>

Step 4: Add a flush with On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator

To add color back to the complexion, warm up the blush side of On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator with your fingers and apply directly onto your cheeks in a circular motion, blending out with fingers.<product>5</product>

Step 5: Get Even Glow-ier Glowtion and Beach Balm

For even more glow, apply Glowtion's cream highlighter on the high points of your face. Apply Beach Balm in Siesta to eyelids for even more of a natural gloss. Finish off with a light swipe of mascara.

Step 6: Play All Day Translucent Powder

If you’re oily, mattify your t-zone with Play All Day Translucent Powder, and pack in your bag for touchups on the go.<product>6</product>
